1
A unique patented method for the analysis
of 12 lead ECGs for clinical trials
CalECG v3
2
CalECG Intended Use
• CalECG is an application designed for the on-
screen measurement of ECG signals in the
context of pharmaceutical trials.
• It is capable to handle digital ECGs, seamlessly
interfaced with several types of formats.
• CalECG can also support the usage of a semi-
automatic algorithm which can assist the user in
the determination of important caliper positions.
• Representative beats (medians) are also
supported.

CalECG compatibility
ECG types accepted as input include:
- HL7 XML (FDA)
- Mortara XML (E-Scribe & H-Scribe)
- GE MUSE XML (Transactional XML)
- Philips XML (Sierra XML)
- Schiller RST
- AMPS ECG binary
- ISHNE
- SCP
- MIT
Output ECG Format files supported:
- HL7 XML (FDA)
- AMPS ECG binary
- ISHNE
- SCP
- MIT

Stand-alone vs COM interface
CalECG is available in two forms:
Stand-alone, in which the measurements and protocols
are defined on the computer used to analyze a particular
ECG;
Client/Server , in which the data and program reside
on a server, but the interactive measurements are
made on a client PC. This model has many advantages,
such as the ability to centrally define protocols. This
simplifies the adaptation of measurement protocols,
which only need to be defined once, rather than for each
station.
5
HTTPS data exchange
Database connectivity
CalECG can interact with external
database and populate them with the
computed measurements or any other
information regarding ECG, patient,
protocol…
CalECG allows the user to load ECGs from
remote locations using the HTTPS data
exchange protocol.

CalECG: The AMPS on-screen Caliper tool
The user-friendly display gives the user different
graphical options of the visualized ECG:
- Nb of leads
- Length (Time)
- Amplitude resolution
- Superimposition ON/OFF
- Rhythm vs. Median representation
7
CalECG: The AMPS on-screen Caliper tool
Provides a semi-
automatic
algorithm which
can assist the
user in the
determination of
important caliper
positions, interval
durations, wave
amplitudes, …
Designed for the on-screen measurement of ECG
signals in the context of pharmaceutical trials
8
Rhythm data and Representative
beats
The CalECG algorithm operates on both the rhythm
data and on the representative beats and can generate
lead-specific or global measurements
9
QT measurements can be computed also with the
slope method.
QT: slope method
10
CalECG custom printing
Includes customizable report.
Both Rhythm data and Median
Beat can be printed using
different page layout.
